Bhiwadi Industrial News: Chip Plant, Corporate Growth, Connectivity

The Bhiwadi industrial belt is making significant strides, with Rajasthan officially entering India's semiconductor map. A state-of-the-art chip packaging facility was inaugurated in Bhiwadi, marking a crucial development for the region and positioning Bhiwadi as a key player in the electronics manufacturing sector. This establishment underscores the growing importance of the RIICO industrial areas in attracting high-tech investments and diversifying the industrial base of Alwar district.

Several companies operating within or connected to the Rajasthan industrial landscape reported their financial performance. Ram Ratna Wires announced a substantial increase in its net profit, which jumped by 121% to ₹35.2 crore in Q1FY27. Similarly, Gillette India, a prominent manufacturer with operations in Bhiwadi, reported a 9.4% rise in its Q1 profit, reaching ₹159 crore. The company's sales also saw an 11% increase, achieving ₹783 crore in revenue during the first quarter of FY27. However, despite the profit growth, investor concerns regarding expenses led to a fall in Gillette India's share price. In a positive community development, Siegwerk India demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by strengthening rural education infrastructure, inaugurating two new government school buildings in Rajasthan.

Connectivity and infrastructure enhancements continue to shape the region. Rajasthan is now part of the ‘Namo Bharat’ network, with the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) set to connect Alwar with New Delhi. This development will significantly improve commuter and freight movement, benefiting industries and residents in the Bhiwadi industrial belt by offering faster access to the national capital. Additionally, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is addressing local infrastructure challenges by planning a 6-kilometre drain. This project aims to tackle persistent highway waterlogging issues, ensuring smoother transportation and reducing disruptions for businesses and commuters in the area.

Environmental concerns are also being actively addressed across Rajasthan. Recent reports indicate a positive trend in air quality, with the number of clean air days in Rajasthan's cities projected to double in 2025 compared to 2023 levels.
